Campaign Manager

The ideal candidate requires:

A Degree or post-graduate qualification from a recognised university, subjects to include: Statistics, Business, IT, Informatics, Finance, Marketing, New Media, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering courses or similar Strong MS Excel, email and internet skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Pay Per Click online marketing campaigns for selected South African and international clients. Responsibilities include:

Merchant analysis;

Determining merchant's campaign strategy based on research conducted;

Creating and setting-up the merchant's accounts according to procedures and best practice;

Conducting keyword research and deciding which keywords to bid on and pricing these competitively;

Uploading the merchant's campaign to the various search engines (Google, Yahoo!, MSN) and verifying campaign and billing settings;

Optimising campaigns through continuous monitoring and revision including adcopy writing and review;

Statistical analysis of campaign data;

Working within a specified budget;

Submitting regular campaign reports;

Building relationships with clients and other stakeholders;

Ensuring comprehensive feedback is given to clients;

Keeping updated on new developments in the industry - reading blogs andwebsites.

Vacation Work / Internship

Our internships are normally for the month of January and will provide you with an introduction to pay per click online marketing. We pay a small stipend for the month.

Senior Application Developer

Clicks2Customers is looking for a senior application developer skilled in Java to write, test and maintain computer applications to meet business and user requirements.

Our space is that of online marketing, one of the fastest growing industries in the world. Part of that growth includes continual change in technology and scalability required from systems.

This means that our team has to keep researching and implementing new technologies, from the addition of new features to issues of system scalability. The successful candidate will have to become a subject expert in our field and will be expected to engage with management regarding strategic input on technical feasibility of projects.

It goes without saying that the successful candidate must be an accomplished programmer who enjoys coding and prides him/herself on the quality and clarity of his/her code.

The successful candidate would work predominantly on the in-house system, Media Manager 3, spreading his/her time across the following key areas:

o    maintaining and enhancing the system, including system design and system integration
o    adding value to internal and external clients through development of related tools / features
o    research and development work and/or campaign management in order to further improve the system.

Requirements:
•    Degree/Diploma in informatics, computer science or a closely related engineering field.
•    6-8 years’ proven Java programming experience in a professional environment; or
•    Equivalent combination of education and experience.
•    Technical knowledge and experience in the development, implementation and maintenance of integrated systems.
•    Demonstrated expertise in object-oriented programming technologies, including Java/J2EE, JBoss, Java Swing, Java Servlets using OO model2 design pattern frameworks such as Struts.
•    Demonstrated knowledge of object-oriented programming methodologies.
•    Demonstrated expertise in Internet technologies, including Web tools and third-party applications (typical tools, technologies and products: JavaScript, HTML, XML, SSL, etc.)
•    Demonstrated knowledge and experience with MySQL or other SQL-based relational database system. Detailed technical knowledge and experience in use of data structures with relational database design. Experience in SQL performance tuning.
•    Working knowledge of networking technologies, including security and encryption on the Internet, and basic networking concepts.
•    Knowledge of paid search marketing and tracking technologies advantageous.
•    Exposure to both corporate and small/start-up companies ie structured and less-structured environments.
